The introduction of cross-curricular approaches
to learning such as 'problem-based learning' and critical thinking, a coherent programme encourages and enables young people to consider ethical and character issues will be of consdierable value to pupils and
teachers.
The powerpoints and supporting text commentary deal with issues to which pupils can relate to, and use language which is accessible yet appropriately demanding.
The worksheets should ensure that pupils not only learn from the presentations, and any discussions or other classroom activities which arise from the materials, but also that they develop important skills such as note-taking and summarising.
